Manchester United will announce several new U18 players in the coming days. One of them is the Swedish goalkeeper Johan Guadagno who is joining from IF Brommapojkarna in Sweden. He is born in 2003 and is a regular in the Swedish U17 national team. I managed to reach him for a quick talk.

When did Manchester United contact you?

- I was scouted, then I had a trial in January 2019.

How did the transfer happen?

- It is my agent who handles all that.

What is the plan, are you going to move there alone?

- I am moving alone, although I will live with a family there.

Was it a tough decision leaving Brommapojkarna and Sweden?

- Yes, a little. However, I know it is the right one.

What did the schedule look like when you were training with Manchester United?

- It was a lot tougher than at Brommapojkarna. We practiced two times a day.

What is the most significant difference between playing in Sweden and England?

- It is a big difference because there is much higher quality in every way. Also, the training ground is a lot bigger and better and stuff like that.

What have the coaches and the club told you?

- Unfortunately, I can not tell you that.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

- Playing for the first team.

What are your strengths as a goalkeeper?

- Catching crosses, shots from a distance and playing with my feet.

Any U16/U18 players that have caught your eye?

- Mipo Odubeko and Anthony Elanga. Also Mason Greenwood, who is training with the first team now.

Where there any other clubs who were interested in signing you?

- Yes, Anderlecht and Inter Milan.
